24 in 2014 // Month 8/9/?!?!

Ok. So I am so devastatingly behind with this 24 in 2014 series. It’s actually sad. I haven’t even finished my June list yet looooool. I somehow lost The Two Princes so it’s been literally impossible to finish ha. I just gave up on it and have since started my two books for July, but still…neither is finished and here we are in September. COOL.

So here’s the plan to catch up. I read Le Dernier Jour d’un condamné by Victor Hugo to make up for The Two Princes (and that also helps me finally check off my first item on my 25 Before 25 list!!), and I’m halfway done with both of my July books.

For August and September, I think I’m going to “resort” to re-reading Harry Potter, at least The Sorcerer’s Stone. I’ve been wanting to reread them for a while, but for some reason it has felt like cheating since I have read them so many times and they’re such quick reads, but you know what? I’ll use any excuse to read Harry Potter again. FOREVER my favorite series, and I haven’t read the first ones in at least five years so I’m actually really excited. Now I just need to hurry up and finish those lingering July books and get started.

Also on my reading list for August/September/whatever month:

Hitler’s Willing Executioners: Ordinary Germans and the Holocaust by Daniel Jonah Goldhagen // Auschwitz: A New History by Laurence Rees
Winter King: The Dawn of Tudor England by Thomas Penn // Marie Antoinette: The Journey by Antonia Fraser

Don’t forget to add me on GoodReads! What are you reading this month?

  • Let me know how Winter King and Marie Antoinette are!

  • you may be behind on reading, but i am SO behind on reviewing! i honestly don't think it matters what you read, as long as it's something you enjoy (and duh, HP is ALWAYS a good idea). x

  • I wish I could dedicate myself to reading like this but I just know I wouldn't be able to keep it up!
