Travel Tuesday // Venice

Hello dears! So I want to start committing to Photography Friday over at This Analog Adventure, which means I have to start posting my travel stories on Tuesdays.

I tend to take a lot of horizontal photos, but I took at LOT of verticals when my sister and I were in Venice in May and I wanted to share those with you today. I don’t have a lot of words for this post…Erica and I were only in Venice for half a day before we flew out to Barcelona.

It was warm and the sun sparkled on the water. We ate gelato and window shopped all the beautiful masks for sale.

  • these are STUNNING! i've always wanted to visit venice, and you've captured it here in a sort of sundrenched, uber colorful sort of way-i'm in love. {plus i'm amazed at the lack of tourists in your photographs!}

  • I would LOVE to visit Venice someday, looks like it's more a romantic getaway than a place for a group trip

  • these pictures are beautiful! so funny – i take so many vertical pictures that i have to force myself to see horizontally!

  • I love the way you describe it! Thank you! You should definitely go asap, it's sinking! It won't be there forever sadly :[ And thank you haha, I'm kinda amazed too! Although we did spend a lot of time sitting and waiting for people to leave the frame so I could take a picture teehee.

  • So true. You should go alone though, I think it could be a very contemplative place to be by yourself. Really though, there isn't much to do…it's like a day trip at best.

  • Isn't that so strange how we each see photos a certain way?! I don't know why I'm so attached to horizontal ones, but I am!

  • this is STUNNING. such unique photos of a place i've seen thousands of. and i hardly ever take vertical shots but i really should! x

  • Thank you, that's a really really nice compliment! And I need to too haha. They turn out nice from time to time, right?! ;]

  • Venice is such a romantic city… isn't it? I've promised myself to go back eventually – as the time I went I just spend about 36 hours there and it definitely wasn't enough.

  • Looks so beautiful! I want to go someday!
